Cozy Quechee Retreat (7001)

Description

Description

The moment you pull into the driveway and open your car door, the scent of the pine and the fresh mountain air begins to relax you. Nestled in a fragrant pine and hardwood forest, this house sits at the edge of the village of Quechee. With its large windows and open floor plan, the house is cozy yet bright and cheerful. The house has two bedrooms.  The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen and one twin beds.

Nearby, you'll enjoy all Vermont has to offer including winter and summer sports, the restaurants of 'gourmet alley',
antiquing, the Vermont raptor center, Long Trail and Harpoon Breweries, Simon Pierce glassworks, Quechee Gorge, and much more. At the end of the day, curl up in front of a roaring fire with a good book and let your cares melt away.

Though it seems you are miles away from it all, there are several stores, restaurants and antiquing options within a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Singleton's Market is my first choice for groceries and deli. Jake's market is also a good option and there is a cafe, those are just on route 4. I also like Dana's for breakfast (1 mile away Just past the Quechee Gorge on the left side). Simon Pearce is a good option for lunch or dinner. To get there, walk down Waterman hill, across the covered bridge, and its on the left. As my guest, you also have access to the Quechee Club dining facilities and other activities and ameneties on a fee basis.

The Quechee Club boasts two championship golf courses (Highland and Lakeland), which in the winter are groomed for Nordic cross-country skiing trails.  Quechee also offers tennis, paddle tennis, skiing and an array of activities and venues for swimmers, hikers and fisherman. The Club House has multiple dining options, a state of the art fitness facility, and both indoor and outdoor pools.  Optional packages to access the Quechee Club’s amenities are available upon request.

Quechee is centrally located between the beautiful towns of Woodstock, Vermont and Hanover, New Hampshire, the home of Dartmouth College.  Hanover, New Hampshire and Woodstock, Vermont combine the quaintness of beautiful New England villages with the cultural sophistication.   Galleries, unique shops, museums and a variety of excellent and unique dining experiences are available in both towns. Killington is approximately 30 minutes from Quechee and offers world class skiing, mountain biking and other year round activities.
