FAQ’s & Important Rental Information

Where do I check-in and pick-up keys?

Please come to our office, which is the Better Homes & Gardens, The Masiello Group / Carefree Quechee Vacations building located at 1996 Main Street. As you come into Quechee on Route 4, you will see a flashing yellow caution light. Turn north onto Waterman Hill Road and proceed through the Covered Bridge. Turn left onto Main Street. Our office is approximately ¼ mile on the left-hand side of the road. Once at our office, all you need to do is come inside and pick up your arrival packet!

 

What happens if I arrive after office hours?!

On the front porch of our office there is a white wooden box directly to the right of the front door. We will leave an arrival packet with your name on it with everything you need inside the box.

 

What is in the packet?

The outside of the packet shows your name and arrival date. Inside is another envelope with the key to the rental and a map showing the route to the unit. In addition, we have included check-in and check-out information as well as Quechee Club and local attraction information. All of our vacation rental homes are equipped with Wi-Fi internet access. The sign-on information highlighted in yellow in the packet.

 

What are check-in/ check-out times?

Check-in time is 3PM on arrival date and check-out time is 10AM on the date of departure. This allows us to clean and inspect each unit before guest arrival and ensure the most pleasant accommodations.

 

My GPS says the address is invalid! What do I do?

Google Maps and your GPS may not recognize Quechee as a proper town, as it is a village in the town of Hartford. If this occurs when you input the address to our office or to the rental unit, try using the town name and zip code “Hartford, 05001” in place of “Quechee, 05059” and it should correct the address.

 

What do I need to bring?

Carefree Quechee Vacations uses a professional linen service for sheets & towels for each rental. Starting supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, and soaps are also provided. In addition,  the kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking/eating needs with the exception of consumables such as cling wrap, tin foil, garbage bags, sandwich bags, napkins, and spices/cooking oils. If you wish, bring those items that are special to you. Please note that firewood for homes with wood burning fireplaces is not included with rental. Guests may bring their own firewood, or CQV can recommend some locations for purchase locally. Any firewood that is on the premises and used by the guest must be replaced by the guests upon completion of the rental.

 

May I bring a pet?

Only in an approved accommodation. Unfortunately, the bylaws of some of the condominium associations exclude pets for guests and renters. Please inquire for a list of approved accommodations. There are several fine kennels in the surrounding area that will board your pet. If you have rented a pet-approved accommodation, a pet version of our contract will be sent to you where we ask you to provide the: name, age, approximately weight, and breed of the pet(s) for our rental records.

 

Can I pay by Credit Card?

Credit cards are required to guarantee your reservation, however credit card payments will be subject to a 3% processing fee. You can avoid this fee by either sending a check to our mailing address: Carefree Quechee Vacations, PO Box 1226, Quechee, VT 05059, or calling our office at 802-295-9500 and we can process an e-check at no charge. If we do not receive a check by mail the balance will be charged to your credit card on file. This information will also be provided on your contract sent at time of booking.

 

How do I set up access to The Quechee Club’s amenities?

Through rental of this property you are able to purchase access to the Quechee Club. Rates and amenities are specific to the group dynamic and must be set up with the Quechee Club directly. How do I get a package or mail delivered to me during my rental?

The home address listed on your contract and in your arrival information e-mail details the specific address to the home, and condo number if applicable. UPS and FedEx will deliver packages to the front door. Mail sent by USPS can only be made if you set up a P.O. box for the term of your stay. For short-term stays in need of USPS mail, please address mail to you in care of General Delivery, Quechee, Vermont 05059. You will need to pick up this mail in person at the Quechee USPS Office located at 91 Village Green, Quechee, VT 05059. Should you require a post office box during your stay in Quechee, you may obtain one by writing c/o Postmaster, Quechee, VT 05059.

 

Does Carefree Quechee Vacations provide cribs?

We do not. However, CQV does partner with a concierge service, Stock the House, which will rent them along with other baby equipment. They can be reached by email: customerservice@stockthehouse.com, or by phone: 1-833-STH-PLUS.
